Cleopatra VII (69-30 BCE) was the last queen of the Tolomeo Dynasty, reigned over Egypt 51 to 30 BCE. She had love affairs with Julius Caesar and Marc Anthony, was exiled by her brother and left
for Syria, where she claimed her rights. Julius Caesar came to her rescue, beat Tolomeo and  settled her on the throne. She had to reign with her 11-year old brother, Tolomeo XIV,. She later moved to Rome where she lived as Caesar's lover from whom she had a son, Caesarione.

The pectoral was found around the neck of the  mummy of Pharaoh          Sheshonk II who was buried in a side-chamber of the tomb of
Pharaoh Psusennes.
It has the form of a sanctuary around a scarab, on which the 30th chapter of the Book of the Dead is engraved, which is supposed to prevent the heart from speaking against the dead person when in
the presence of Osiris. The kneeling godesses Isis and Nephtys 
Protect the scarab.
