Bronze spoon, Iron Age, around 50 BCE- 100 CE. Cast spoon with decorated handle by drawing out the design on the clay mould using a compass. After casting, the bowl was pierced at its left edge with a small circular hole. It is not known what the object was used for; perhaps a sacrifice or funeral gift. Only 25 such spoons have ever been found in bogs, or rivers or buried in the ground, but never on settlements where people lived. P&EE 1856.7-1.1369
