Faience vessel decorated with a depiction of the god Heh, from tomb 61,Enkomi, cyprus. The vase is made in the form of a closed lotus flower and decorated with a picture of Heh. The first meaning of "Heh" was "millions", but heh was reansformed into the Egyptian god of infinity by association with symbols for year and for rebirth. The god is shown in his ususal guise as a kneeling man holding notched palm ribs in each hand. GR, 1897.4-1.999

"An Arabian Summer House upon antique fragments on the Canal of Menouf",Egypt, around 1801. A house stands on the bank of a canal or river, with steps leading up to it from the water's edge. Three dhows are on the water with people aboard. Other people are swimming, collecting water and walking along the bank. The "ram in a thicket" from Ur,southern Iraq, is one of an almost identical pair discovered by Leonard Woolley in the "Great Death Pit", one of the Royal Graves in the cemetery at Ur. The "ram" is rather a goat and he reaches up for the tastiest branches. The goat's head and legs are covered in gold leaf, its ears are copper, its twisted horns and the fleece on its back are of lapis lazuli,the body fleece is made of shell.Its genitals are gold. The tree is covered in gold leaf, with golden flowers. See also 08-02-01/1. ANE 122200
