A dead AVH-man, killed during the storming of the Headquarters of the Communist Hungarian Working People's Party, is decked out with a picture of Rakosi.

Janos Mesz, "Janos of the wooden leg", one of the leaders of the insurgents'group in Corvin Lane, standing at the Erkel Theatre on Republic Square (Köztarsasag ter) on October 30, 1956. Mesz lost his leg in a railroad accident. He was fatally wounded on November 4th.
