"Neue Wache", new guard building, Berlin "Unter den    
Linden" Boulevard. Built 1816-1818 opposite the Royal  
Palace, the guard building, in the form of a Greek     
temple, was also meant as a monument to Prussia's "Wars
of Liberation" against Napoleon during 1813-1814.

1824/25 for Prussian King Frederic Wilhelm III as an   
intimate summer abode in the gardens of Charlottenburg 
Palace. The two storey building has a base of only     
18 x 16.4 m. The upper rooms open onto loggias.
