The chair of the famous Rabbi Loew (Judah Loew         
ben Bezaleel, died 1609) in the "Altneuschul"          
in Prague, the oldest synagogue in Europe, built       
1270. Rabbi Loew is said to have created the Golem,    
a living mannekin.

The barrel-vaulted synagogue from Horb, Germany.       
Ceiling and panelling were painted in 1735. The        
synagogue in Horb is the only remaining synagogue      
of hundreds of similar buildings. It survived Nazi-    
destruction in the Bamberg Museum.
