Standing statue of Pharaoh Amenemhet III, 12th dynasty (184-1798 BCE), in the severe style typical of the Middle Kingdom royal portraiture. He wears the Egyptian kilt and the "Nemes", the royal headcloth. Inscription on the base says "Beloved of Amun, re of Karnak". Black granite.
