The main staircase at Carlton House.
Carlton House was a mansion in central London, which is best known as the town residence of the Prince Regent for several decades. It was between Pall Mall and The Mall in the St. James district of London, a little to the west of Trafalgar Square. "The History of the Royal Residences" by William Henry Pyne published in 1818-1819 contains the most complete record of Carlton House still in existence.

English mission at Kidikidi, New Zealand, 1822-1825.
Engraved plate from "Voyage autour du monde" ("Voyage round the world") by Louis Isidore Duperrey (1826). The engraving shows an establishment surrounded by a sturdy wooden fence, built by English Christian missionaries near the village of Kikikidi in what is now New Zealand. Duperrey (1786-1865), a French marine hydrographer, was the commander of the 'Coquille' during its voyage (1822-1825) to Chile, Peru, Polynesia, the Molucca Islands (Indonesia), New Ireland (Papua New Guinea) and Australia.
