La mort d'Hippolyte - The death of Hippolytos, son of Theseus.  He was a passionate hunter and adored Artemis, which infuriated Aphrodite. She caused Phaidra, Theseus seconbd wife, to fall in love with her stepson. When Hippolytos refused Phaidra, she accused him of attempting to seduce her. Theseus called his father, Poseidon, to help him and Poseidon sent a sea-monster which frightened Hippolytos' horses who dragged him to death.
